The New Role of NH's Area Agencies: A Plain Language Review of DAADS, Contract Functions, and the Roles of Service Coordinators and Providers in NH's Developmental Services System


 Join Marissa Berg of CSNI for a free webinar. This session will provide attendees with a high-level, plain-language overview of the new responsibilities of Area Agencies, including their Designated Area Agency Delivery System (DAADS) functions and contract roles. We will also briefly review other roles in the system, including Service Coordination and Provider functions, as well as the role of the Bureau of Developmental Services. Assistive Technology in New Hampshire: How can ATinNH's free lending library help me?

From 4-5 PM on Monday, September 22nd, 2025, CSNI and Sara Valli, Director of ATinNH at the Institute on Disability, reviewed NH residents can benefit from the free Assistive Technology lending library at ATinNH. We also reviewed what additional supports ATinNH can offer to help you and your family members with Assistive Technology needs.

HB2 and Developmental Services Webinar 4-5 PM on 4/21/25

Topics include how the state budget is developed, what was in each budget iteration, how it would affect people with disabilities, and what you can do about it.  Wear pink and join CSNI at the NH State House to advocate for continued DD/ABD Funding on March 12th, 2025 from 1:30-5:30!  
CSNI, alongside numerous other organizations, will be at the NH State House on Wednesday, March 12th from 1:30-5:30 for the public hearing on the Governor's budget. CSNI is grateful to Governor Ayotte for funding the Efficiency budget and continuing to fund the Waitlist. However, workforce struggles are significant, housing problems remain, and families and individuals with disabilities still struggle to access necessary supports. We want to show legislators how important it is to keep funding DD/ABD services. Whether you'd like to share your story through written testimony, spoken testimony, or simply be there in pink to show your support - please join us!

Breaking Down Communication Barriers When Advocating for Mental Health Supports

Clear communication between individuals, families, caregivers, and healthcare providers is key to getting the best care. However, many things can make communication hard, like complicated medical terms, cultural differences, or not having enough time to talk. This training will explain these challenges in simple terms and share ways to make communication most effective for everyone, ensuring providers have the information needed to provide the appropriate treatment and services.  

Housing Options for NH Residents with Developmental Disabilities: What you can do now, and how to plan for the future.
Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 3-4 PM via Zoom.
CSNI is excited to partner with NH Housing to host this free webinar for people with disabilities and their families, as well as those professionals who support them including Service Coordinators and Housing Coordinators. Topics to be covered include the facts about Housing Choice Vouchers and making informed decisions about applying for assistance, as well as a Q&A session with NH Housing Staff.
